Black Music Exploration

In the wake of the 2020 uprising, I was inspired to create educational and enlightening songs about the Black experience. These were shared weekly with the aim to keep the momentum of Black Lives Matter as we entered into our historic June.

These songs not only lyrically, but also musically explore Blackness. I delved into pain of blues, the rhythm of folk, and the triumph of marching bands that were born from and adopted into Black culture.
